Summer

I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls in the evenings with my mum, and I love it. It’s feel-good and lighthearted, just what I need! It makes me smile, it makes me laugh, it makes me cringe. Perfect!

I’ve also been watching Once Upon a Time. I absolutely love the concept! It’s really hitting the spot for a magical/fantasy show.

I’ve become more and more fascinated by bees recently. They’re smart, I mean really smart! Also, they make honey for which I am eternally grateful.

I’ve always been drawn to Greece, and not just because of Mamma Mia!. I visited Corfu in July, and absolutely fell in love with the island. I now fantasise about living there, and even bought a book to start learning the language. However, there is a snag. I’ve also fallen madly in love with an Italian musical group: Il Volo. Maybe I should learn Italian instead…?

I’ve been conducting an extensive experiment into Beanies Coffee flavours to find the tastiest one. I haven’t quite finished yet, but so far ‘Nutty Hazelnut’, ‘Peanut Butter Cup’ and ‘Toffee Apple’ are top contenders!

I’ve had several infections recently, including covid. As I’m writing this, my neck and jaw are so swollen that I wondered if it was possible to get mumps a second time (or a third time, including the jab!) A few appointments later, my dentist found the culprit: a gum infection!

In between the Corfu trip and all of the illnesses, I’ve managed a few excursions! I even went to an open day for a part time course in Shropshire which was very promising.

Plus, I went on two afternoon trips out of Brum to see family. First in London, then Cambridge. It was my first time travelling alone in a very long time, and I have to say it was pretty difficult and overwhelming. But both afternoons were so worth it, they meant a lot to me.

Corfu. Words can’t describe it! Beautiful place.

Bees!

Pretty flowers in Greece!
